Concrete adhesive is made to permanently bond new concrete to old concrete. It can be used either inside or outside and is also used as a leveler in floor resurfacing. The exterior grade permanently bonds the material to be stronger than the material it is bonding too. In order to use the exterior grade there's no need to chip, or in any way rough up the old surface to which it will be bonded. It chemically bonds to new concrete, cinder block, concrete pavement, concrete pipes, sidewalks and more.

Concrete adhesive is applied to clean areas free of all dust, oils, mildew, grease, wax and any other substances that may be present. You can apply it to any clean surface with a spray, a roller or a brush When the adhesive is dry than apply the new concrete mixes. Before applying the adhesive make sure the base coat is dry. When you are through with this part of the job be sure to wash all of your tools and other equipment with hot water and use hot water to clean up any drippings that may be there.

To use concrete adhesive as a floor leveler you must first clean the concrete thoroughly to free it of all grease, waxes and other debris and use good repair measures to make repairs to unsound concrete. Use abrasives such as shotblasting or sandblasting techniques. Apply the adhesive with a broom, a roller or a garden sprayer. Do not apply the resurfacing until the adhesive is dry when you touch it. When it is dry you can then apply a second coat of the adhesive. The estimated time to dry is about two to three hours however this varies according to the temperature and climate. When the area that has been coated with the concrete adhesive is dry than a topping can be applied. If the job was done properly there is no maintenance required and the area resurfaced will serve you well for a long time. As with all jobs worth doing patience and elbow grease is required to do it well.
